Fikona is a family nursery based in Koningshooikt – near Antwerp, Belgium – and was founded in 1985 by Koen and his father. We have been working every day since Fikona was established with passion and enthusiasm to produce extraordinary green plants for our customers in a sustainable way. In 2012 we launched the Regina and Tucan collection. Together with our team we strive to pursue our moto: “Perfection in green plants”.
Since 2019, Fikona’s greenhouse grew from 3 hectares to 5 hectares. These 2 extra hectares full of green are fully automated and are built for smaller pot sizes.
Our Regina collection currently exists in categories: Ficus, Musa, Chamaedorea, Areca and Specials.
In 2012 we launched our brand, named Regina. Regina stands for the highest level of perfection in green plants.
We work every day with passion and enthusiasm to produce extraordinary green plants. Together with our team of 25 people, we strive to pursue our motto. Good working conditions are essential to us, which is why we gladly commit ourselves to the requirements of the 'Socially Qualified' certificate.
All the plant are first grown in Central-America & Asia for several years and are then shipped to Belgium, where the plants complete their final stage of growth in our greenhouse.
